Spring 2013 Couture Report: Elie Saab

Elie Saab's collection reminds me why I like the couture shows: they're fancy. These shapes are not that diverse from one another and aren't that far off of the kind of shapes I wear everyday, but the fabrics and detailing are so sublime and delicate that it takes the most basic shape to another place. Oh how I wish I could live in a world of wearing lace and beading all the time. I'm simply not a t-shirt and sweats kind of girl!

I adore the fabric treatment and color of the top dress, and hello, most of these have pockets! You know we love our pockets. See anything you like?

Is it weird that I want to go to a masquerade ball wearing one of the floor length dresses? So lovely.
